"Humankindness" is an adaptation of the original play by Anthony Pelham and a chapter from the new PARASIGHT series.
Synopsis: In a looming future, a fugitive couple is trapped in a “human shelter” at the mercy of sentient overlords as they vie to be selected as their pets in order to ensure their survival.
Humankindness raises thought-provoking questions about the nature of choice, intimacy, and the ways in which technology shapes our understanding of love and connection.
Through Logan and Emily's tense relationship, the audience is invited to contemplate the boundaries between human and machine, and to consider the profound implications of bringing artificial intelligence to the forefront.
Although Humankindness is a genre film, and therefore attractive to diverse audiences, it is first and foremost the story of a mother –– and our story explores what it means to be a human being in a world where technology has replaced the meaning behind being human.
